‘Zeus head’ by Yves GENTET (FR-2009)

A fully realistic hologram of a Zeus bust in bronze (replica) demonstrating the limited reflective surface of the metal against the golden details on the forehead ribbon and plaque on the black marble base. Excellent detail and perfect shade reproduction. Denisyuk full-colour hologram in glass, size 24×27 cm portrait, origination by Yves Gentet and Mikhail Shevtsov on ‘Ultimate 04′ panchromatic emulsion.

«Vase of ruby glass» by Holography lab of SOI ‘Vavilov’ (USSR, 1985)

Vase of ruby glass. Russian arts and crafts. State Hermitage, St.Petersburg.
Bright reflections from the vase surface create dark spots on hologram surface forming diffraction gratings. Looking through the dark spot one can see that part of the object where the reflections came from. Monochrome reflection hologram on glass plate, size 60×80 cm portrait, illumination from below. ‘Hotei’ (also known as the Laughing Buddha) is the god of happiness, joy, prosperity and communication, one of 7 Japanese Gods of prosperity. Original statue is from Ethnography museum, St.Petersburg, Russia. This hologram was made and given as a present to Y.N. Denisyuk on his 60th birthday. Holography by V. Bryskin.
